Oh hai there! Welcome to my blog. My name’s Chris, but you may know me from the Club Penguin Team based on my retired account, Polo Field.
I used to work at Club Penguin. For a long time, too — from 2006-2015.
Hideaway and Party Parrot World
Today I am working with an amazing team of former Club Penguin players and team members alike to create new virtual worlds!
Our kid-safe launcher platform Hideaway is available in beta now for Windows and sideloaded Android.
From within Hideaway you can download, install, and play our first new hideaway called Party Parrot World.
PPW is our loving tribute and spiritual successor to Club Penguin. A new virtual world built in a new way for a new generation of kids and kids at heart.
My Club Penguin History
For a while, I was Club Penguin’s archivist, keeping track of files and all the different interesting things that happened in CP history. The reason? For smart use and re-use of content for stuff like consumer products, etc.
Most importantly to me, to one day tell the story.
I love wikis, forums, timelines and other cool tech stuff like that. I’ve also written a few things, like the Paint By Letters books that were in the Book Room a long time ago. Prior to Club Penguin, I was a music journalist and used to write about bands and albums. It was my music writing background that helped me become a member of the Club Penguin Team.
But most of all, I love creative worlds with lots of music. I love creating universes full of characters and stories and mysteries. My first virtual world experience was with Microsoft Comic Chat, and joining Club Penguin was a dream come true.
Some players that were around in 2007 might remember me from the Miniclip Forums, otherwise known as the “MCCP.”
I’d show up there every once in a while with other staff members at the time like Screenhog, Ice Pinapple and Hamustar. My Miniclip Forum avatar featured a panda with a red keytar — an instrument that eventually found its way into Club Penguin, too. 😉
In my later years at Club Penguin, I worked with other talented folks like Businesmoose, Ninja, and Megg on social media stuff like blogs, YouTube, SoundCloud, Facebook and Twitter.

Polo field I’ve never forgot you. I saw you many times in that time frame I just wasnt allowed on miniclip cuz I was young I actually was there for beta testing! I made the mistake of giving my password out and now the support team said it was banded to long so they can’t unban it!

Hi Polo Field,
I decided that reaching out to you here would be more appropriate as opposed to via Twitter or sending you an unexpected email. You can take your time in replying to this or just disregard it, it’s up to you. I know you’re a busy guy with your job and life in general so you can make this the bottom of your “to do” list.
Anyway, I’m writing to you with the hopes of getting some old images/swfs from Club Penguin to put up on Club Penguin Memories. I’m contacting you as opposed to Club Penguin Support since I’ll get a more “personal” reply and Club Penguin tends to have standard email responses. If this is a no or a not sure or you’ll have to pass it along to someone else, it’s your call. If you know right from the get-go that nothing can be done then that’s perfectly fine, I’m just trying to go with what I have.
Getting into more detail, as you have probably seen on my Club Penguin Memories I have lots of pages where I have pictures archiving practically everything – rooms, newspapers, stage plays, catalogues, parties, and more – over 1,000 different pages.
While with the help of others I have managed to get ahold of missing pictures from time to time, but Club Penguin Memories is still incomplete and both I and others would love to see the site as complete to possible. It’s something I strive to do. I’m trying to see if I can somehow get the swf files sent from the Disney team to me to screenshot and upload (then dispose the flash files) or get pictures taken and sent to me to upload. I feel like this would be an up in the air thing due to the fact there are risks such as the fact that it’s copyrighted work, I could easily decompile them, distribute them to others, turn them into a private Club Penguin server, and who knows what else – but I have no plan to actually do that if this actually happened. I’m just looking for pictures to upload.
So just read this over, respond somewhere such as a message on Twitter, via email (skater1405@chtz.info), a comment on my website for me to read over, whatever. Or not reply at all. It’s up to you, I’m just trying to use my available resources.
