Not sure how many know this, but New Horizon Interactive was created as a publishing branch of New Horizon Media, a multimedia company that began in 1984.
According to their website, New Horizon Media was focused on video production and editing from 1984 up until the 90s. Founder Dave Krysko and his team began to branch out into other media creation. Their other services included website design, maintenance & hosting, CD-ROM & DVD creation, creative & content writing, print design & production, game development, and other creative interactive solutions for business.

New Horizon Interactive was named for its focus on interactive media. Initially the team believed they would be focused on client projects, such as the waterpark builder Lance created for WaterPlay.
